Journal Entry 6: Chapter 10

Most people do not like to watch a movie or read a book more than once or twice. However, people can often play the same video game for hours on end, repeating levels and characters. Why do you think this is so?

I'm one of those people that don't like to watch or read something more than once. It's just such a boring passive thing where you know exactly what's going to happen and you can't change it. However, with a video game, people can change little things. Sure, the ultimate goal is the same, but maybe they can kill the wizard with a sword this time instead of an arrow. The fact that it's not set in stone means anything can happen, and that's what people want; spontaneity.
